Design:
 Quality starts with the design process. We consider many issues when designing a new piece of furniture. While the completed appearance of the piece is important, it is not our only consideration.
If a piece is primarily decorative we think about how it may be used - will people set drinks on it? if so, we require a more durable finish on the top surface. If the furniture piece is functional we build a prototype during the design phase that we spend time using. Our goal is to achieve comfort and convenience for those who purchase our work.
Another important element of design for us is keeping our work based on the ideals of true Craftsman construction. We always consider the structural qualities of the natural materials with which we work. We will not design something that is not structurally sound. With our family history and years of experience, we know wood.
